Pak-Turk Schools and Colleges have contributed 17 lake rupees for the I.D.Ps. The caravan of trucks from Pak Turk Lahore Branch loaded with packs of ford items reached Peshawar on 20th May. The next day the officials of PakTurk handed over the luggage to the Red Crescent society in the Pak-Turk branch here in Peshawar. The packages of food were distributed among the affecters.
The official of Pak Turk said on this occasion that this donation is only a token of our love with our affected brothers. A packet having ten kilo wheat, three kilo rice, pulses and sugar of not fulfill the daily needs so at least it can reduce the burden of worries that a family is having for his necessities. The principal further added that this is the contribution of our children studying in the different branches of Pak Turk system through out Pakistanis going on, today we have received from Lahore branch but in other cities all the PakTurk students parents became like the same body to do something to the affected people due to SWAT crises. He recalled the same kind of contributions by the students of Pak Turk at the time of Earth Quake 8th October 2005.
The Chairman Red Crescent Society NWFP Dr. Sher Muhammad Khan praised the efforts of the organization while receiving the caravan he stated that he feels proud over the Pak Turk friendship. He appreciated the Pak Turk School System for their munificent contribution at any difficult times. He further stated that this donation will not only further comment the brotherly relation with Turkey but will also win the love of Pakistani people. |
